Colonel Harland Sanders first introduced the iconic pressure cooker in 1939 with the intention to serve customers freshly cooked chicken, faster. The Original Recipe, using the Colonel’s world famous secret blend of eleven herbs and spices, was introduced a year later in 1940. The Colonel awards the first KFC franchise to Pete Harman of Salt Lake City in 1952 with a handshake agreement. Since then, KFC (part of YUM! Brands Inc.) has served more than a billion of finger lickin’ good chicken meals annually to consumers in more than 80 countries and territories around the world.

Since the opening of the first KFC Singapore restaurant at Somerset in 1977, Singaporeans have been wowed by the same great Finger Lickin’ Good taste for 30 years. With 70 stores spread all across the island, KFC is easily accessible to Singaporeans. What’s more, since 1995, Singaporeans were able to enjoy KFC in the comfort of their home with KFC Delivery Service.

Our customers played an important part in making KFC a successful household brand in Singapore. Viewers will also be involved in this campaign. Simply watch the television commercials on TV and www.kfc.com.sg/vote from 1st March 2007 onwards. Then vote for their favourite commercial via SMS at 91842004 or our website at www.kfc.com.sg vote by 4th April 2007.
